Static Electricity and Water

Materials:

- 1 Balloon                             - 1 Sharp pencil 

- 1 Piece of clothing made     - 2 Plastic cups
      of cotton              

- 1 Medium sized bowl 



Procedure:

1] Take the two plastic cups, using the pencil puncture a tiny 
     hole in one of the cups.

2] Fill the second cup with water.

3] Blow up the balloon and tie up the end.

4] Hold the cup with the hole above the bowl.

5] Ask someone to charge the balloon by rubbing it
    vigorously against the piece of cotton clothing.

6] Carefully pour the water into into the cup with the hole.


7] Hold the charged balloon close to the stream of water.


8] See what happens!
